Like many aviation enthusiasts, I've always been captivated by flight simulation. Over the last decade, that interest turned into something a little more serious — I built a Boeing 777 simulator at home. That project became a passion. I immersed myself in every detail: mixing real and replica parts, constantly looking for new ways to push the limits of immersion and realism.Eventually, life took a turn — we moved house, and the 777 simply didn't fit. So I found myself at a crossroads: what next?
Discovering the Airbus and VIER IM POTT
That's when I first came across VIER IM POTT. I hadn't flown Airbus before — my experience was squarely in the Boeing world — but the side-stick setup intrigued me. The idea of starting from scratch and learning an entirely new flight deck, new systems, and a new way of thinking about aircraft handling felt like a fresh challenge. And I love a challenge.I reached out to Christian from VIER IM POTT, and we started putting together the components for my new simulator.
