Why flying in a simulator is more fun for two

What could be better than flying for fun at the weekend? Quite simply! Flying together!

In professional flight operations, there are always at least two pilots in the cockpit: the "Pilot Flying" and the "Pilot Monitoring". One takes over the actual control of the aircraft, while the other provides support, reads out checklists, monitors the instruments and communicates with the tower. There is just as much to do in the simulator! While one concentrates on take-off, landing and navigation, the other can take care of radio, systems and documentation. This division of labour not only makes the flight feel more realistic, but both can support each other and learn from mistakes.

Flying in pairs is simply more fun because you can share successes and mishaps directly with someone else. After a successful landing you are happy together, after a mistake you laugh about it together and learn from it. Talking during the flight makes the time in the simulator fly by - and you quickly realise how much you can learn from each other.
