Shell Frame Dimensions
Overview
Shell frames are the basic structure of the simulator. They are available in different sizes so that they can be used in almost any room.
The advantage of shell frames is that they are made of standardised material. They can therefore be extended. At the same time, some shell frames are suitable for being extended to form a closed shell.
All shell frames must be screwed to a floor for safety and stability reasons.
Shell Frame Standard
This shell frame corresponds to an A320 cockpit in original size. It can be converted into a closed shell.
The cockpit floor consists of a wooden construction with a covering of matching carpet. The floor is approx. 42 mm high.
If you wish, you can also build this floor yourself.
Shell Frame Size M
This shell frame corresponds to the original proportions and can be extended to form a closed shell. For space reasons, it is cut off behind the first side window.
Please note that only the front overhead fits in this shell frame.

Shell Frame Medium
This frame is suitable for an open cockpit. Its depth allows the installation of a front and aft overhead. Many of the parts can be used to build a closed cockpit.
Shell Frame Mini
This Shell Frame Dual Seat Cockpits is designed for particularly small spaces. It carries the front overhead and is otherwise as small as possible.
Shell Frame Mini Single
This is the smallest shell frame. It is preferably used for single-seat cockpits.
Overhead Frame
Please note that only the front overhead fits in this shell frame.
A good alternative to shell frames is the overhead stand. This is mainly used in training equipment. The design of the overhead stand requires a floor.
